McLennan Baseball drops a spot but remains in NJCAA Top-20

The McLennan Highlanders dropped one spot to No. 17 in the latest NJCAA Division I Baseball Poll.

Walters State (Tennessee), Chattahoochee Valley (Alabama) and Wabash Valley (Illinois) all moved up one spot this week to snag the top three spots. Iowa Western moved up three spots to fourth, and San Jacinto (Texas), last week's No. 1, fell to fifth.  

Cisco, a conference and regional opponent for McLennan, jumped up from 15th a week ago to 10th. Grayson fell four spots this week after suffering three losses to the Highlanders. Blinn continues to receive votes.

The Highlanders have an overall record of 36-14 and are in second place in the conference standings with a record of 21-7. McLennan and Ranger will close out the regular season with a four-game conference series this week beginning with a 1 p.m. doubleheader Wednesday at Bosque River Ballpark, followed by a 1 p.m. doubleheader Saturday in Ranger.
