McLennan Baseball No. 3 in NJCAA national poll

The McLennan Highlanders moved up two spots to No. 3 with 169 points in this week's NJCAA Division I Baseball Poll.

Walters State (Tennessee) moved up to first this week with 171 points followed by Chipola (Florida) in second with 171. Santa Fe (Florida) is fourth with 153 points and Chattahoochee Valley (Alabama) is fifth with 142.

San Jacinto and Grayson are the only other Texas teams in the poll at sixth (135 points) and 18th (41 points), respectively.
The Highlanders have an overall record of 22-7 and are tied with Cisco for the conference lead at 7-1. McLennan hosts Vernon for a 1 p.m. conference doubleheader Thursday at Bosque River Ballpark.
