McLennan Baseball eighth in NJCAA national poll

The McLennan Highlanders dropped five spots to No. 8 with in this week's NJCAA Division I Baseball Poll, receiving 119 ps

Walters State (Tennessee) remained in the top spot with 200 points. Santa Fe (Florida) moved into second with 184 points followed by Connors State (Oklahoma) in third with 164. Chipola (Florida) moved down two spots to fourth with 164, and State College of Florida jumped from ninth to fifth this week with 152.

San Jacinto (Texas) remained in sixth with 142 points and is the only other Texas team in the poll. Grayson and Blinn are receiving votes

The Highlanders have an overall record of 25-8 and lead the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference standings with a 10-2 record. McLennan travels to Gainesville tomorrow for a 1 p.m. conference doubleheader with North Central.
