McLennan’s DeLeon named Pitcher of the Week

McLennan Baseball's Alex DeLeon was named the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week for Feb. 10-16

DeLeon, a right-handed sophomore from Lago Vista, picked up a 6-0 shutout victory over Navarro Saturday allowing just one hit with eight strikeouts and one walk in seven innings on the mound.

The Highlanders will host Howard for a three-game series beginning at 2 p.m. Friday at Bosque River Ballpark, followed by a noon doubleheader Saturday.
