Highlander pitchers earn conference weekly honors

McLennan pitchers Katia Reyes and Lucas Kelly were selected the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference's Pitchers of the Week for March 31-April 6.

Reyes, as sophomore from Weslaco, Texas, eared the softball honor after pitching the perfect game in #1 McLennan's 9-0 run-rule victory over #7 Grayson. She faced the minimum 15 batters in the five-inning contest, striking out four. She also excelled at the plate in the game, going 2-3 with a home run, an RBI and two runs scored.

Kelly, a freshman from San Francisco, California, pitched a complete game to lead the Highlanders to a 1-0 win over Grayson, allowing four hits and one walk while striking out three.
