Highlanders rack up conference honors

Five McLennan Highlanders were named to the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference All-Conference Awards list.

Freshman guard Shannon Bogues was named the Freshman of the Year and fellow freshman guard Jerami Grace was named the Newcomer of the Year. Bogues and Grace along with sophomore forward Aundre Jackson were first-team all-conference selections. Freshman center Fred Jackson was a second-team selection and sophomore forward Zach Charles was an honorable mention selection.

The Highlanders take on New Mexico at 5 p.m. in the opening round of the Region V Tournament. Live video streaming of all tournament games will be provided by PSB Live at www.psblive.com.
