McLennan Basketball continues to receive votes in NJCAA poll

The McLennan Community College men's basketball team is receiving votes in the latest NJCAA Division I Men's Basketball Rankings released today.

Indian Hills (Iowa) moved into the top spot this week, followed by Northwest Florida State in second and Florida SouthWestern State in third. Odessa (Texas), a Region V opponent of McLennan, moved up one spot to fourth and Vincennes (Indiana) is fifth.

Other Texas squads in the poll are Trinity Valley, in seventh for a second week, and Tyler, up four spots to 16th. Paris is also receiving votes.

The Highlanders have an overall record of 21-4 and are 4-3 in North Texas Junior College Athletics Conference play. McLennan continues conference play tomorrow, traveling to Terrell to face Southwestern Christian. Women's action will begin at 3 p.m., followed by the men's game at 5 p.m.
