Highlanders continuing to receive votes in NJCAA poll

For the second consecutive week, the McLennan Community College men's basketball team is receiving votes in the NJCAA Division I Poll. The Highlanders improved to 12-2 on the season with last night's victory over the Concordia JV

South Plains (Texas), a Region V opponent of the Highlanders, moved into the top spot this week followed by Vincennes (Indiana) in second and Coffeyville (Kansas) in third. Northwest Florida State dropped to fourth from first last week. Tallahassee (Florida) jumped into fifth this week, up from 12th.

Ranger (seventh) and Odessa (15th) are the only other two of McLennan's Region V opponents to make the poll. Trinity Valley (10th) from Region XIV is the other Texas school in the poll. Hill and Navarro are also receiving votes.

The Highlanders are 12-2 on the season and host Angelina at 4 p.m. Dec. 29 at The Highlands.
