McLennan Highlanders receiving votes in NJCAA basketball poll

The McLennan Highlanders are receiving votes in the latest NJCAA Division I Men's Basketball Poll released today.

South Plains (Texas), a Region V opponent of the Highlanders, is sitting in the top spot with 399 points including 15 first-place votes. Tallahassee (Florida) is second with 378 points, followed by Salt Lake (Utah) in third with 359 and Pearl River (Mississippi) in fourth with 347. Coffeyville (Kansas) rounds out the top five with 334 points.

Odessa (Texas), also a Region V competitor, comes in at No. 7 with 291 points. Blinn and Panola, both Texas schools competing in Region XIV, are No. 17 and No. 22, respectively. Grayson, a North Texas Junior College Athletic Association opponent of McLennan, is also receiving votes along with Trinity Valley from Region XIV.

McLennan returns to the floor Wednesday, hosting Weatherford in a conference battle. Women's action begins at 5 p.m., followed by the men at 7 p.m. Live streaming will be available at www.centexsportsnetwork.com.
