McLennan men's basketball up to No.17 in NJCAA poll

The McLennan Highlanders jumped four spots to No. 17 in this week's NJCAA Division I Men's Basketball Poll.

South Plains (Texas) continues to hold the top spot. Coffeyville (Kansas), John A. Logan (Illinois), Odessa (Texas) and Mineral Area (Missouri) all moved up a spot this week to second through fifth. Pearl River, last week's No. 2, fell to 10th.

Panola and Trinity Valley, both Texas schools competing in Region XIV, are 14th and 23rd, respectively. Blinn, Grayson, and Kilgore are receiving votes. Grayson competes in the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference with the Highlanders.

McLennan is undefeated on the season with record of 9-0 overall and 3-0 in conference play. The Highlanders host Temple at 7 p.m. tonight at The Highlands.
