McLennan men's basketball squad receiving votes in NJCAA poll
The McLennan Highlanders are receiving votes in the latest NJCAA Division I Rankings released today. The Highlanders, with an overall record of 10-2 and 4-2 in conference play, slipped out of the top 20 after falling in two of their three conference games last week.
South Plains (Texas) from Region V and Coffeyville (Kansas) continue to sit in the two spots. Odessa (Texas), also from Region V, and Mineral Area (Missouri) both moved up as spot to fourth and fifth, respectively. Northern Oklahoma-Tonkawa jumped up two spots to fifth this week. John A. Logan, last week's No. 3, fell to seventh.
Trinity Valley and Panola, both Texas schools competing in Region XIV, are No. 17 and No. 18, respectively. Grayson, a conference opponent of the Highlanders, moved into the poll at No. 23 this week.
McLennan continues conference play with three games at The Highlands this week. The Highlanders will host Southwestern Christian at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Collin at 7 p.m. Thursday and Hill at 4 p.m. Saturday.
