Highlanders' Blackshear named Player of the Week

McLennan men's basketball guard Rontavious Blackshear has been selected the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference's Player of the Week for Jan. 6-12. The sophomore from Atlanta, Georgia, scored 26 points to lead the Highlanders to a 86-61 victory over Weatherford in the conference opener. He was 9-14 from the field including 4-8 from 3-point range along with 4-4 from the free throw line in the win over the Coyotes. He also recorded three rebounds, two assists and two steals.
