Highlanders torpedo Timberwolves
The McLennan Highlanders torpedoed the LSC-Tomball Timberwolves 146-43 this afternoon at The Highlands in their final game before the holiday break.
It was all McLennan from the opening tip. The Highlanders opened on a 4-0 run and led 10-4 with 16:30 to play in the first half. McLennan broke the game open with a 22-0 run that lasted just over six minutes of play. The run included dunks by Timi Ibikunle and Howard Gaskins Jr. along with a pair of 3-pointers by Aiden Law. The Highlanders continued to roll, extending in the lead to 53 at the break, 71-18.
The second half was much the same. McLennan made use of the lead, allowing some of the reserves to get some valuable playing time as they head into conference play early next month.
