McLennan men's golf team climbs to first in poll

The McLennan Community College men's golf team is ranked in the latest polls.

The Highlanders climbed to the top spot in the latest Golf World/Nike Golf NJCAA Coaches' NJCAA Division I Poll released today.

Odessa (second), Midland (fourth) and Western Texas (10th) are the other NJCAA Region V college ranked in the poll. Ranger is receiving votes.

In the Golfstat rankings, the Highlanders are ranked second behind Odessa. Midland, Faulkner State and Indian Hills round out the top five. Western Texas sits in eighth.

The Highlanders placed first in both tournaments played this spring and will compete in the Southwest Championship on April 7-8 in Pottsboro, Texas.
