Highlanders finish in second at Andrews
Donnell, Shattuck tied for sixth place
The McLennan Highlanders shot 275 to finish in second place at the Andrews Collegiate Amateur Invite at the par-71, 6,308-yard Andrews County Golf Club in Andrews, Texas. The tournament was shortened to one round due to weather conditions.
Odessa finished in first with 271. Western Texas and Midland tied for third with 278.
Cory Donnell and Hunter Shattuck both shot 68 to lead the Highlanders and finish tied for the sixth place.
Other McLennan results: Drew Dewald, tied for ninth, 69; Ryan Johnson, tied for 12th, 70; Bruce Popp, tied for 18th, 72; and Blake Stock, tied for 22nd, 73.
Other team scores: New Mexico Military, fifth, 288; and New Mexico, sixth, 293.
The Highlanders will compete in the Dodge City Shootout on Oct. 11 in Dodge City, Kansas.
