McLennan golf team ranked in poll

The McLennan Community College men's golf team remains ranked fourth with 42 points in the latest Bushnell Golf­week Preseason NJCAA Division I Coaches Poll released today.
 
Eastern Florida and Wallace State are tied for first with 45 points, followed by Odessa in third with 44 points.
 
Midland (seventh) is the only other NJCAA Region V college ranked in the poll. Western Texas also received votes.
 
The Highlanders opened the fall season with a first-place finish at the Andrews Collegiate Amateur Invitational. They will compete in the UMHB Fall Inter-Collegiate Invitational on Oct. 5-6 in Killeen.
