McLennan golf team receiving votes in coaches poll

The McLennan Community College men's golf team is receiving votes in the first Bushnell Golf­week Preseason NJCAA Division I Coaches Poll of the spring season.

Indian Hills (Iowa) is first, followed by Dodge City (Kansas) in second and Odessa (Texas) in third. Midland (Texas) and Eastern Florida State round out the top 5. New Mexico and Western Texas are ninth and 10th, respectively, and are the only other NJCAA Region V colleges ranked.

The Highlanders open the spring season at the Tyler Junior College Invitational in Tyler, Texas, on Feb. 27-28.
