Highlanders claim second-place finish at Andrews

The McLennan Highlanders shot 276-273 – 549 to finish in second place, three strokes behind Midland (271-275 – 546), at the Andrews Collegiate/Amateur Invitational this weekend in Andrews, Texas. Odessa finished in third with 279-286 – 565, followed by Ranger in fourth with 284-284 – 568 and Western Texas in fifth with 288-281 – 569. 

James Perry and Liam Gobin shot 67-68 – 135 and 68-67 – 135, respectively, to finish tied for second place and claim all-tournament honors.

Other McLennan scores: Peter Clark, tied for eighth, 70-69 – 139; Kevin Yang, 18th, 74-69 – 143; Ulrik Joergensen, tied for 19th, 71-73 – 144; and Shoichiro Kato, 26th, 76-74 – 150.
