Highlanders slip to No. 3 in poll

The McLennan men's golf squad slipped one spot to No. 3 with 78 points in the latest Bushnell/Golfweek NJCAA Division I Coaches Poll.

Midland (Texas) remains at No. 1 with 94 points, followed by Odessa (Texas) up three spots to No. 2 with 83 points. Indian Hills (Iowa) remains at No. 4 with 75 points while Hutchinson (Kansas) fell two spots to No. 5 with 62 points.

Other South Central District squads ranked include: Weatherford, remaining at No. 6, 46 points; and New Mexico, remaining at No. 10, 10 points. Tyler, Western Texas, Blinn and New Mexico Military are all receiving votes.

The Highlanders return to action Oct. 20 at the Blinn Fall Invitational in Brenham.
