McLennan Softball receiving votes in NJCAA Poll

The McLennan Softball team is receiving votes in the first NJCAA Division I Softball Poll of the regular season.

Florida Southwestern State is No. 1, followed by Central Florida at No. 2 and Indian River State (Florida) is No. 3. Howard (Texas) and Seminole State (Oklahoma) round out the top five at No. 4 and No. 5, respectively.

Grayson and Vernon, both conference opponents for McLennan, are No. 9 and No 11, respectively.

McLennan has an overall record of 7-7 and will return to action Feb. 16 with a 1 p.m. doubleheader at Alvin.
