McLennan Softball up to #3 in NJCAA Rankings

The Highlander Softball squad, with an overall record of 24-3 and 8-0 in conference play, moved up one spot to #3 in this week's NJCAA Division I Rankings.
 
Florida Southwestern (24-0) and Northwest Florida State (34-2) remained at #1 and #2, respectively. Indian River State (Florida) dropped a spot to #4 with a record of 18-3, and Grayson (Texas) remained at #5 with a 25-1 record.
 
Other Texas teams ranked include: Odessa, holding at #8, 15-4; Trinity Valley, holding at #10, 22-4; Temple, dropping one spot to #13, 21-8; Paris, up one spot to #15, 24-4; Weatherford, up three spots to #16, 19-3; and Galveston, down three spots to #23, 13-7. Tyler and Midland are receiving votes.
 
McLennan continues conference play Wednesday, traveling to Cisco for a 1 p.m. doubleheader.
