Highlander Softball continues to sit atop NJCAA rankings

The McLennan Softball squad is #1 in the NJCAA Division I Softball Rankings for the second consecutive week with an overall record of 44-5 and are 26-2 in conference play.
 
The top-five teams remained the same this week: Florida Southwestern, #2 ,43-5; Indian River State (Florida), #3, 37-6; Northwest Florida State, #4, 52-2; and Grayson (Texas), #5, 44-6
 
Other Texas teams ranked include: Trinity Valley, down one to #7, 46-8; Odessa, up one to #8, 35-4; Temple, down one to #12, 35-14; Paris, steady at #15, 44-8;
Weatherford, down three to #20, 33-13;and Tyler, up one to #21, 34-14. Galveston is receiving votes.
 
#1 McLennan will host Vernon for a conference doubleheader beginning at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Bosque River Ballpark.
