McLennan Softball ranked #2 in final NJCAA poll

The McLennan Highlanders are #2 in the final NJCAA Division I Softball Rankings of the 2025 season. McLennan heads into post-season play with an overall record of 49-6 and went 30-2 in conference play to claim the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Championship.
 
Florida Southwestern moved up one spot to #1 with a 49-5 record. Northwest Florida State stayed at #3 with a 54-2 record, and Indian River State (Florida) stayed at #4 with a 43-8 record. Grayson (Texas) stayed at #5 with a 48-6 record.
 
Other Texas teams ranked include: Odessa, staying at #7, 4339-4; Trinity Valley, up two to #8, 50-10; Temple, down one #12, 39-14; Paris, staying at #13, 49-9; Weatherford, staying at #20, 33-13; and Tyler, down one to #23, 36-18.
