Allen named NFCA Player of the Year
McLennan Softball's Trinity Allen has been selected as the 2025 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) NJCAA Division I Player of the Year.
Allen, a sophomore first baseman from Cypress, appeared in 59 of the Highlanders' 60 games. She recorded a .481 batting average with 21 doubles, two triples, 23 home runs and 95 RBI. She was also named an NFCA First-Team All-American and First-Team All-Region West selection, a NTJCAC First-Team All-Conference selection, and the NTJCAC Most Valuable Player.
Allen recorded 28 multi-hit games and 22 multi-RBI games. She drove in a season-best eight runs versus Hill College and knocked in six at Vernon and Weatherford College. Allen finished the season ranked fourth in home runs, fifth in total bases (184), sixth in RBI, seventh in slugging and eighth in on-base percentage. She is committed to Wichita State University.
Awards are voted on by the elected members of the NFCA NJCAA Division I All-American Committee with two head coaches representing each of the three NJCAA Division I regions. To be eligible, a student-athlete's head coach must be a member.
