Highlander Softball No. 9 in NJCAA rankings

The McLennan Highlanders (9-5) are No. 9 in the first NJCAA rankings of the 2026 regular season.

Northwest Florida State (24-1) is No. 1, followed by Grayson (Texas) at No. 2, 15-1; and Indian River State (Florida), at No. 3, 16-2. Northeast Alabama (14-0) is No. 4, and Florida Southwestern State (15-3) is No. 5.

Other Texas teams record: Trinity Valley, 16-0, No. 6; Blinn, 10-2, No. 7; Paris, 20-2, No. 10; Temple, 14-4, No. 15; and Odessa, 8-4, No. 16.
