Highlander Softball moves up

The McLennan Softball squad (16-6) moved up one spot to No. 8 in this week's NJCAA Division I Rankings.
 
Grayson (Texas), a conference opponent of the Highlanders, remains at No. 1 with a 21-1 record, followed by Northwest Florida State (31-2) holding steady at No. 2. Florida Southwestern State (23-3) moved up one spot to No. 3 while Northeast Alabama (19-1) slipped one spot to No. 4. Trinity Valley (Texas) moved up two spots to No. 5 with a 22-2 record.
 
Other Texas teams ranked: Temple, up four spots to No. 10, 20-4; Galveston, holding at No. 11, 19-1; Blinn, holding at No. 13, 12-4; Paris, down four to No. 14, 23-5; and Odessa, down six to No. 18, 14-7. Weatherford is receiving votes.
