McLennan Softball jumps in rankings

The McLennan Softball squad (24-6) moved up three spots to No. 5 in this week's NJCAA Division I Rankings.
 
The top four teams remained the same: Grayson (Texas), No. 1, 28-2 record; Northeast Alabama, No. 2, 27-1; Northwest Florida State, No. 3, 35-3; and Florida Southwestern State, No. 4, 27-5.
 
Other Texas teams ranked: Trinity Valley, down two to No. 7, 28-4; Temple, steady at No. 8, 24-4; Blinn, steady at No. 15, 17-5; Odessa, up two to No. 16, 24-7; Galveston, down six to No. 19, 25-7; Paris, down four to No. 20, 27-9; and Weatherford, entering the poll at No. 23, 21-7.
