McLennan Softball up to No.5

McLennan Softball, 35-7, moved up one spot to No. 5 in this week's NJCAA Division I Rankings
 
Florida Southwestern State (41-5) and Northwest Florida State (48-4) both moved up one spot to No. 1 and No. 2, respectively. Northeast Alabama (41-3) slipped two spots to No. 3, and Temple (Texas) remains at No. 4 with a 39-5 record.
 
Other Texas teams ranked: Grayson, up one to No. 9, 35-8; Trinity Valley, down one to No. 9, 40-6; Odessa, up one to No. 12, 36-7; Paris, holding at No. 14, 38-10; Blinn, up one to No. 18, 28-12; and Weatherford, up one to No. 22, 30-10. Midland and Galveston are receiving votes.
 
No. 5 McLennan will host No. 4 Temple for a 1 p.m. doubleheader Wednesday at Bosque River Ballpark.
