No. 8 McLennan Softball shutout the Cisco Wranglers in both games today at Bosque River Ballpark.
Olivia Garrett picked up the 5-0 victory in the circle of the opener.
McLennan scored one in the first as Traci Lowry tripled and scored on a double by Kaelani Rogers.
The Highlanders added a run in the second as Chayne Allen tripled and scored on Lowry's single.
The final three McLennan runs were scored in the bottom of the sixth inning. Rylie Marquart doubled and Lily King singled. Jordan Tosch walked, loading the bases. Marquart scored on a sac fly by Lowry, and King scored on an error. Rogers then singled to score Tosch.
Game two was a 9-0 walk-off victory in six innings with Natalie Klenda in the circle.
In the first, Brooke Fechner singled and stole second. Lowry then singled to score Fechner.
Two Highlander runs scored in the second as Marquart walked and scored on Tosch's home run.
Another two McLennan runs scored in the fourth. Lillian Jones walked and Tosch singled, both stealing a base. Lowry walked to load the bases. Jones and Tosch both scored on a sac fly by Rogers.
Four runs in the bottom of the sixth sealed the run rule. Fechner doubled and scored on Jayden Sadler's home run. Rogers then doubled and was replaced by pinch runner Chayne Allen. Macie Jansky followed with the two-run walk-off homer.
