McLennan Softball lands seven on all-conference teams
Freshman Olivia Garrett was selected as the Pitcher of the Year and First-Team All-Conference. The right-hander from Booneville, Mississippi, has made 22 appearances in the circle, notching a 17-5 record with 164 strikeouts and a 1.82 ERA.
Sophomore Chayne Allen and freshmen Traci Lowry and Kaelani Rogers were also named First-Team All-Conference selections. Allen, an outfielder from Cypress, Texas, has played in 49 games, recording a .483 batting average with 21 RBI and 36 stolen bases. Lowry, a freshman catcher from Franklin, Texas, has recorded a .530 average with 12 doubles, six triples, three home runs and 36 RBI in 40 games. Rogers, a freshman designated player from Carrollton, Texas, has appeared in 46 games, recording a .471 average with 19 doubles, eight home runs and 45 RBI.
Second-Team All-Conference honors went to Rylie Marquart, Brooke Fechner and Natalie Klenda. Marquart, a freshman outfielder from Cypress, Texas, has a .341 average with eight doubles and 30 RBI in 48 games. Fechner, a freshman outfielder from Katy, Texas, has appeared in 53 games, recording a .348 average with 11 doubles and 30 home runs. Klenda, a sophomore right-hander from Wichita, Kansas, has made 25 appearances in the circle, notching a 15-6 record with a 2.64 ERA and 61 strikeouts.
Garrett, Allen, Lowry and Rogers were also named to the All-Region 5 Team.
