McLennan sweeps basketball Player of the Week awards

Two McLennan players claimed the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference's Basketball Player of the Week honors for Jan. 27-Feb. 1.

Jalayah Ingram was selected for the women. The sophomore guard from Pearland, Texas, averaged 20.5 points per game last week in games at Hill and Temple. In the two games, she scored 41 points, pulled down 11 rebounds and dished out nine assists.

Frederick Rogers, III was selected on the men's side. The freshman forward from Detroit, Michigan, averaged 16 points per game last week, scoring 11 at Hill and 21 at Temple. He also collected 15 rebounds in the two games.
