McLennan women earn NTJCAC awards
A handful of McLennan Women's Basketball players earned North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference awards for their performances this season.
Sophomore Lanaijha Johnson was named to the NTJCAC All-Conference team. The forward from Center, Texas, is averaging 13.3 points and 9.3 rebounds per game. She was also named the NJCAA All-Region V team.
Sophomore guard Tajenae Gooden was also named to the NTJCAC All-Conference team. The guard from Dallas is averaging 11.8 points, 4.4 points and 3.4 assists per game.
Danai Lewis, Charravia Smith and Charnelle Hoof were all NTJCAC Honorable Mention selections. Lewis, a sophomore forward from New Orleans, is averaging 6.4 points and 5.0 rebounds per game. Smith, a freshman forward from Terrell, Texas, is averaging 8.2 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. Hoof, a sophomore guard from Memphis, Tennessee, is averaging 10.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game.
