Clarke claims Southwest District Championship; Highlanders finish third

McLennan women's golfer Mia Clarke shot 72-78-71 – 221 to claim the individual title at the Southwest District Championship at the Canyon West Golf Club in Weatherford. As a team, the Highlanders shot 305-316-303 – 924 and will seek an at-large bid to the NJCAA Division I Golf Tournament. Clarke receives an automatic qualification for claiming the individual title.

Odessa finished in first with 306-296-307 – 909, and New Mexico was second with 315-301-299 – 915. Both teams qualified for the national tournament.
