Highlanders close out Roundup with victory over Coastal Bend

The Highlanders got the three-set series sweep over Coastal Bend, 27-25, 25-15 and 27-25.
 
The opening set was tight. After being tied at four, McLennan pulled away to go up 8-4. Coastal Bend chipped away and tied the game nine. The teams traded points the rest of the way with neither holding more than a two-point advantage until late in the set. After being tied at 19, Coastal Bend went up 24-21. The Highlanders steppe up, rallying to take the set 27-25.
 
Set two was back and forth until McLennan pulled away. The Highlanders led 9-8 and then pushed the lead to seven at 19-12 before ending the set on a 6-3 run to take it 25-15.
 
In the third set, McLennan opened on a 4-0 run but that cushion wasn't enough. The Highlanders would lead by six, 7-1, before Coastal Bend rallied to tie the game at 12. The Cougars briefly held a two-point advantage at 15-13 but the Highlanders tied at 15. The teams battled back and forth with McLennan taking the set 27-25 to complete the sweep.
